The Tigers are in complete control of their destiny both in the SEC and in regards to the BCS National title game, as the undoubted frontrunners to land a spot in the championship game, but they still have work to do. While these sort of contests would usually be considered letdown games, it is hard to imagine that LSU will falter against a Sun Belt opponent that hasn’t won a game outside of their pay head conference.

While the Tide wasn’t able to get their sports betting win in last weekend’s SEC showdown, they could force a possible BCS rematch if No. 2 Oklahoma State falters and Alabama finishes the season strong. The fact that they forced overtime and lost by only a field goal is testament to that they are on the same level as LSU, but for now the focus has to be on this coming weekend and bouncing back against another SEC opponent on the road in Mississippi State.
