NCAA football fans have turned their attention to the bowl season, and the BCS bowls will obviously be in the spotlight. The Rose Bowl is the oldest bowl game and this edition’s features Oregon, who played in last year’s BCS title game, while Wisconsin looks to avenge January’s loss in the “Granddaddy Of Them All”.
Wisconsin Oregon Odds – January 2nd, 5:30 PM ET
The No.10 Badgers (11-2, 6-2 Big Ten) edged Michigan State in the first-ever Big Ten title game, and even though Montee Ball was an Heisman underdog according to those who purchase price per head services, he is on the verge of breaking Barry Sanders’ single-season touchdown record. Wisconsin can also throw the ball with Russell Wilson, but their defense has shown they can be breached.
The No.5 Ducks (11-2, 8-1 Pac-12) won the Pac-12 title game against UCLA, but if they hadn’t lost at home to USC a month ago, Oregon may be talking about another shot at the BCS title and a rematch with LSU, whom they lost to in their season debut. They still have their fast-paced offense led by LaMichael James, but their defense also has a few leaks and cornerback Cliff Harris is suspended.
Oregon are 6-point favorites in Pasadena, where they have a 5-1 SU record, while Wisconsin is 7-3 SU in the Rose Bowl and are still smarting from last year’s upset loss to TCU. These two met in 2000 and 2001 with the road team winning on both occasions, but Wisconsin’s brawn and strength will ultimately wear Oregon down. Bet on Wisconsin to pull out the college football betting spread.
